For 50 years, Beyer Auto has been delivering services around a core set of values that drive everything we do. Because of this, we’ve been fortunate to be the recipient of some nice honors (first in the nation for things like customer satisfaction and sales). Things like clarity, personal growth, and always improving aren’t just things we believe - they’re things we practice everyday. To learn more about our values click here.

In celebrating our values, we thought it would be fun to take a look at another group driven by the same exact values. Team Beyer Auto isn’t just a cycling team (with its own big list of firsts), but a constant reminder that with the right vision, the right people and the right attitudes nothing is that far out of reach.

Mike Beyer, CEO
Beyer Auto Group

The history of Team Beyer Auto is the history of DC Velo. The club was first formed in the mid-1980s by Century Bicycles, a Silver Spring, Maryland bicycle shop once located on Bonifant Road. Originally named Century Bicycle Racing Club, the club was primarily a juniors team that soon expanded to include a seniors team. Century Bicycles went out of business in January 1995. Shortly before then, the club formally registered with the USCF (United States Cycling Federation) and adopted the name “DC Velo.”

Beyer Auto is one of the nation’s premier dealerships in the northeast and has been nationally recognized for its dedication to quality and customer service. Originally started by Don and Nancy Beyer when they bought a small, struggling Volvo dealership in Falls Church on November 1, 1973, the family-owned business, over 40 years, has now grown to four Volvo dealerships, three Kia dealerships and additional dealerships for Subaru, Volkswagen, and Land Rover. Built around a core idea of customer intimacy, the entire Beyer family and all of it’s team members see themselves as servants working to meet your transportation needs.
